Crown Nine: Jewelry Stamping Class

with Christine Aiko Beck and Kate Ellen

In this class you will learn the basics of hammering and adding interesting textures to metal with a variety of hammers and tools.  Use an arrangement of letter and number stamps in several fonts to stamp statements, quote, initials, prayers, or names--whatever is most special to you.  We have a awesome selection of interesting antique hammers and tools that add a bit of 'rad' to any design.

In our small group setting, you will get the opportunity to play with a wide variety of tools and get to know how to move metal. After practicing, you will create your own sterling silver pendant style necklace to take home with you on a finished chain.   We will have extra materials on hand for purchase in case you feel like making an additional piece or want to add something fancy like a birthstone charm or pearl.

The skills you learn in this class are ones that you can take home with you--you won't need lots of fancy tools or a jewelry studio to repeat what you learn here.  We will also share with you resources for finding jewelry supplies and materials locally and online.

Class Tuition: $65

Materials Fee: $20
